As UX Design Lead, I’m guiding the pivot from a static advisory dashboard to a flexible, AI-powered SaaS product positioned for long-term scalability and commercial delivery.

The Pivot: From Power BI to Product

The initial EPMS concept, built by an analytics team using Power BI, provided a strong analytical foundation and internal proof of concept. However, as we explored broader commercialization, key limitations became clear:

  • Limited usability: Power BI dashboards often felt dense and unintuitive, especially on mobile

  • Not ideal for executives: The experience required training and lacked contextual guidance for leadership

  • Hard to scale: Custom PBI dashboards were difficult to adapt across different clients and use cases

  • Advisory-focused: The solution was embedded in internal consulting workflows, not designed as a stand-alone product

These insights helped us chart a new course: creating a configurable, AI-powered SaaS solution that delivers actionable, real-time insights through an intuitive mobile app.

Research & Discovery

Defined the product vision and design strategy for a mobile-first SaaS platform

  • Led UX research to understand executive decision workflows and data needs

  • Designed a modular dashboard UI adaptable to different client types

  • Mentored a junior designer and CX partner, elevating execution and alignment

  • Collaborated closely with engineering and data teams to guide technical feasibility

Collaboration & Enablement

• Directed and assigned daily tasks to a junior designer and CX consultant, providing ongoing guidance and feedback

• Actively engaged with product managers and business analysts to define business requirements and align design with solution scope

• Co-led alignment sessions with the inherited analytics team and sales stakeholders to drive the shift toward a product-focused approach

• Established the design system from scratch, building reusable components and patterns to support future scale and consistency

Outcomes (in progress)

• Transitioned EPMS from internal Power BI-based concept to a commercial-ready SaaS product direction
